Cold water? 🧊But it's the desert!
🚫Doesn't matter. In fact, the temp difference between hot air & cold water can bring on hypothermia!

Cold water can result in quick & drastic loss of muscle control. Wear a life jacket!

Breezy conditions can be expected at times so be prepared if you have outdoor plans this Memorial Day weekend. Temps will be heating up as we head deeper into next week. ☀️

For Day 5 of #NationalSafeBoatingWeek , it's important to keep in mind how weather may impact your boating plans.

Make sure you have a NOAA Weather Radio handy and be cautious of:
🌊 high waves
🧊 cold water
⛈️thunderstorms
🥵heat
🌬️ wind

Memorial Day Weekend weather is looking favorable for those with boating plans on Lake Mead, Lake Mohave and Lake Havasu. Moderate breezes Friday and Saturday will become light for the latter half of the holiday weekend while temperatures climb several degrees. #VegasWeather
