A reminder. Afghan, Syrian, Iraqi, Libyan refugees can’t just pop into a local embassy or centre to claim asylum. Even those who fought with the British Army. Ukrainians were offered their own scheme and fill in a form often at the first country they got to.

I think this is the point, and a valid one that people keep making.

But Albanians have no fair reason to come here illegally, and that's another reason why people have concerns
