Reta Van Every is an Addiction & Mental Health Worker at CMHA TVAMHS. She also works with My Sisters' Place as an Indigenous liaison/outreach worker.
Reta has been named a recipient of the 2018 Atlohsa Peace Awards and the 2020 John Robinson Award. #16DaysOfActivism
Dr. Peter Jaffe is the Director Emeritus of CREVAWC and London Family Court Clinic.
He was also a founding member of Ontario’s Chief Coroner’s Domestic Violence Death Review Committee, and in 2009 was named an Officer in the Order of Canada for his work preventing #DV . #16DaysOfActivism
Erin Lee is the Executive Director of Lanark County Interval House, offering emergency and ongoing programs to women and children living in or escaping from domestic violence.
She is also the winner of the Elementary Teacher Federation of Ontario Social Activism Award. #16DaysOfActivism
On day 8 of #16DaysOfActivism , we are recognizing crisis workers across Ontario and beyond. Crisis workers advocate for the needs of service users, providing them with support and care.

Dr. Robyn Bourgeois (Laughing Otter Caring Woman) is an iskwew (Cree) woman and an Associate Professor in the Centre for Women’s and Gender Studies at Brock University, where her scholarly work focuses on Indigenous feminisms, political activism and leadership. #16DaysOfActivism
On day 6 of #16DaysOfActivism , we would like to recognize three local coalitions: OAITH, OCRCC - Sexual Assault Support, and Building a Bigger Wave.
These coalitions have a shared goal of working to end violence against women, many working directly with survivors. 🤝

Mulberry and ShelterSafe (End VAW / Contre VFF) are two online services built by activists to support women and help create safer circumstances for them.
Both provide resources for women and their children seeking safety from abuse. #16DaysOfActivism
