The Newcastle University Geography student fieldtrip in Nicosia, Cyprus is well underway - we've had fantastic, thought-provoking talks, walking tours, and workshops. In the next few days students will work on Political Geography research projects here - can't wait to hear their findings! ☀️

That’s a wrap! Huge staff effort to run two week-long field courses to Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦 and 53 Newcastle University Geography students are leaving with many having had a transformational learning experience, new knowledge and friends, and a new love for this beautiful country
This is all shot right beside Hotel Holiday (formerly the Holiday Inn) where we are staying – I will share this with Newcastle University Geography students today when I see them again at 5pm to show just how intense the urban warfare was and the amazing resilience of citizens during the siege
