One of the best chasedown blocks in Playoff history

Sixers vs Bucks back in the 1980's was a big time rivalry in the NBA!

I remember watching this live. As someone who grew up in Chicago for Jordan's heyday with the Bulls in the 90's this is still one of the most awesome shots I've ever witnessed.

May 1, 1994: Rookie Chris Webber with a behind-the-back dime to Chris Mullin during Game 2 of the Warriors' first round series with Phoenix.

Webber had 17 PTS/10 REB/9 AST and Mullin scored 32 PTS (13-21 FG). Kevin Johnson had 38 PTS for the Suns, who beat Golden State, 117-111.

May 1, 1993: With the help of Clifford Robinson (6 BLK), Portland's deep backcourt took over down the stretch in the Blazers' 105-96 comeback win against the Spurs in Game 2.

May 1, 1995: This putback dunk by Eddie Jones of the Lakers in Game 3 of their first round series against Seattle.

Jones scored 12 PTS off the bench, Cedric Ceballos had 24 PTS and Nick Van Exel had 23 PTS in Los Angeles' 105-101 win. Shawn Kemp had 30 PTS/11 REB for the Sonics.

May 1, 1977: Philadelphia's Julius Erving dunks on Dave Cowens of Boston in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Dr. J had 14 PTS/8 REB and Lloyd Free scored 27 PTS off the 76ers' bench in an 83-77 win. The Celtics' Jo Jo White scored 17 PTS and Cowens had 11 PTS/27 REB.

May 1, 1994: With NBA referees on high alert after a playoff brawl between the Hawks and Heat the night before, New York's Patrick Ewing is given a second technical foul (resulting in an ejection) early in Game 2 after some pushing and shoving with New Jersey's Derrick Coleman.

May 1, 2001: Michael Finley dunks on Karl Malone during Game 4 of the Mavericks' first round playoff series with Utah.

Finley had 20 PTS/12 REB, Dirk Nowitzki scored 33 PTS and Steve Nash added 27 PTS in Dallas' 107-77 win that tied the series. Malone scored 25 PTS for the Jazz.

May 1, 1993: Boston's Kevin McHale scores 30 PTS (13-18 FG) and grabs 10 REB in his final game at Boston Garden.

The Hornets beat the Celtics in double overtime, 99-98, to tie their Eastern Conference first round playoff series at 1-1. Larry Johnson scored 23 PTS for Charlotte.

May 1, 1983: In a playoff game after which Lakers coach Pat Riley accused Blazers coach Jack Ramsay of sending 'hit men out to rough up' Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, a hot mic near Portland's huddle catches Jim Lynam and Jim Paxson discussing Kareem.

Western Conference Semis, Game 4…

May 1, 1994: Hakeem Olajuwon’s chasedown block with 1:12 remaining in Game 2 of Houston's first round series with Portland.

Olajuwon finished with 46 PTS (16-30 FG)/8 REB/6 BLK/4 STL in the Rockets’ 115-104 win. Rod Strickland had 26 PTS/12 AST/ for the Trail Blazers.

May 1, 1982: Sidney Moncrief's game-winner at the buzzer gives Milwaukee a 92-91 victory over Philadelphia in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Moncrief had 20 PTS and Marques Johnson added 17 PTS/11 REB/7 AST for the Bucks. The 76ers' Maurice Cheeks had 19 PTS/8 AST.

Just keep using the guy’s voice. The tech is there. Pay his family generously.

May 1, 2003: Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant run the Laker fast break in Game 6 of their first round series with Minnesota.

O'Neal had 24 PTS/17 REB/9 AST/3 BLK and Bryant had 31 PTS/8 AST in the series-clinching 101-85 win. Kevin Garnett had 18 PTS/12 REB for the Timberwolves.

May 1, 1997: Rex Chapman's shot (assisted by Jason Kidd) sends Game 4 of the Suns' first round series with the Sonics into OT.

Chapman had 22 PTS, Kidd had 23 PTS/14 AST and Kevin Johnson had 23 PTS/11 AST but Phoenix lost in OT, 122-115. Seattle's Gary Payton had 28 PTS/14 AST.

May 1, 1981: Boston's Cedric Maxwell goes into the stands to confront a fan during Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals in Philadelphia.

Maxwell remained in the game but was later fined $2,500. The Celtics defeated the 76ers, 100-98, to tie the series at 3-3.
