So, Governor Youngkin decries the loss of 30K jobs with his failure of the GLENDOME but vetoes a minimum wage increase that strengthens households THAT ALREADY HAVE JOBS. Make it make sense. Virginia NAACP will continue to advocate for a living wage for Virginia's hardest workers

The Virginia NAACP is outraged by yesterday's batch of vetoes of gun violence prevention bills by Governor Youngkin. These bills can save lives. Virginians, including innocent children, are dying every day at the hands of firearms. We must do more, and we will do more.

The Governor has been using the word 'backwards' a lot lately. What's really BACKWARDS is his record on restoration of rights! The Virginia NAACP will continue to seek transparency on his ambiguous process of restoring the voting rights of our returning citizens.

It is beyond disappointing that this Governor is indiscriminately vetoing commonsense bipartisan justice reform bills in what appears to be retaliation for not getting his priorities. This is not leadership, it's acting out and unbecoming of a Governor.
