Impressions from yesterday’s concert with the Wiener Symphoniker and our artists-in-residence Beatrice Rana & Karina Canellakis, who perform their last two concerts of the season. The programme includes Webern’s 6 Pieces for Orchestra, Mozart’s Concerto in D minor and the Eroica ✨🎶
We're looking forward to the final concerts of our artists-in-residence Beatrice Rana and Karina Canellakis, who will lead the Wiener Symphoniker through a very versatile programme with Webern's 6 Pieces, Mozart's Piano Concerto in D minor and Beethoven's Eroica on 15 & 16 May ✨🎶
I've dreamt of touring with my dear Radio Filharmonisch Orkest, so performing #Shostakovich8 & #Beethoven with Emanuel Ax and this incredible group of musicians as part of my residency at the Musikverein Wien was a memorable experience. Thank you to the Vienna audience for the warmest welcome!
We are looking forward to welcome Karina Canellakis again who will be performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 2 and Shostakovich's 8th Symphony together with the Radio Filharmonisch Orkest and Emanuel Ax on 12 May 🎶✨

With yesterday’s performance of #Mahler3 we say goodbye to the Concertgebouworkest and Klaus Mäkelä and thank them for a memorable visit. We'd also like to thank the Vienna Boys Choir, the Wiener Singverein and mezzo-soprano Jennifer Johnston for immersing us in Mahler’s world ✨🎶
Welcome to the Musikverein, Klaus Mäkelä & Concertgebouworkest 👏 We're more than excited about two concerts in the Golden Hall! Enjoy these impressions from yesterday, where the orchestra magnificently performed Bruckner's Fifth ✨🎶 We're looking forward to Mahler 3 tonight 🤩

Yesterday we experienced a fabulous concert with Igor Levit, Renaud Capuçon and Julia Hagen, who performed Brahms’ Piano Trios Nos. 1-3 in the Golden Hall. The concert also marked the end of our focus on “Brahms | Levit”, which has accompanied us throughout the season 🤩
On 12 May, our “Artist in Focus” Karina Canellakis will conduct the Radio Filharmonisch Orkest in the Great Hall. They will be performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 2 and Shostakovich's Symphony No. 8. We look forward to Emanuel Ax on the piano!🎹🎶
