Love that the Co-Op Live, a 23,500 capacity arena, promises to 'bring you closer to the artists'.... In an era where indie venues are dying by the week, kinda feels a bit tone deaf....

Co-op Live arena says they're committed to grassroots music in Manchester and beyond but are resisting calls for a £1 levy on tickets to go to a fund to help grassroots venues. But if you buy a ticket to see Billie Eilish you'll be obliged to pay £1 to an American charity.
