The data visualisation uses OS Open Zoomstack in night style and was created in QGIS, finished off in Adobe Illustrator.
We recently hosted a visit from North York Moors NP Countryside Worker & Countryside Ranger apprentices. A great visit and particularly good to see such enthusiastic young people getting involved with the National Park - the future is in good hands!

Today is #MountainRescueAwarenessDay - enjoy your day, especially if you're outdoors, and we hope you have a great day out and don't need us. If you do, we're available to help 24/7 - all volunteers and call out is via 999 and the Police.
Today is #MountainRescueAwarenessDay - please share a post or let your Followers see one of our torch safety graphics. Relying on your phone as a torch can leave you with no battery power to call for help - much better to carry a torch too! #BeAdventureSmart
We know we go on about carrying a head torch but it's such an easy thing to do and can make a huge difference - especially as British Summer Time ends tonight and it gets darker much earlier from Sunday afternoon. #BeAdventureSmart
MR volunteers tend to carry a head torch with a red light option - it's useful for signalling and saves your night vision for navigation too. #BeAdventureSmart #MRAwarenessDay
It's #MountainRescueAwarenessDay on Sunday, scheduled as the clocks go back and it gets darker earlier. Means we can remind you of a few things for the winter months: plan your day for limited day light, carry a head torch and enjoy your Autumn adventures. #BeAdventureSmart
We've been working with Ordnance Survey comms team on a blog about Staying Safe in the Dark - you can read more at getoutside.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/guides/staying…
Some MR volunteers carry as many as three head torches - that's one handy in a pocket, one spare in the bag in case batteries fail and one available for a casualty or found person to use if needed. #BeAdventureSmart .
