Today I start rehearsals for Around the World in 80s Days, at the Grand Theatre Blackpool. Many fellow theatre professionals are still waiting to be able to get back to work. I feel enormously lucky & incredibly privileged. Theatre isn’t quite back yet but it’s beginning slowly.

Thanks to the Historic England Heritage at Risk grant, we have been able to undertake emergency repairs to protect this beautiful building.

I can’t do my BBC Radio 2 show this evening. My sister Frances is v poorly in hospital with Covid. I don’t feel shiny or happy tonight, I feel very scared. However I’ll be listening to Will Young who I know will light up our kitchen in the depths of our darkness 💜
