Contrary to the false narratives out there, we’ve clearly turned a corner learning how to attack within our new 2023/24 structure that prioritizes limiting the opponent. December speaks for itself. We need to put the ball in the net and we’ll be there or thereabouts come May.
What an incredible job by Klopp. They’re a team in transition and this was supposed to be a rebuild year for them but they’re competing right at the top. They play with so much physicality and intensity it wears teams down. Brilliant to watch as well. Manager of the season vibe.
Is it fair to express concern re Arsenal’s last two results? Of course it is. But some of the revisionism and flip flopping of opinions on here has been embarrassing since yesterday afternoon. It’s as if no team in the history of football has ever lost back to back games. It’s…
We didn’t deserve to lose to Villa & West Ham, today we absolutely deserved to lose. 3 types of games that will happen over 38 games but for them to occur in close proximity makes it appear a crisis. It’s not. We have work to do over the winter break to clean things up. No panic.
Mo Yes. We have a lot of untapped output in this team that has yet to be utilized. Fabio, Kai is just warming up, ESR with his mazy dribbles through tight blocks and ability to generate shots out of nothing
Fabio Vieira is an underrated absence at the moment imo. Half-space crosses, underlap/overlap runs, his passing encourages Martinelli to run in-behind, elite ball-striking. He had an impressive start to the season then played through injury which affected him (hence surgery).
For me we are the title favourites. We give away the fewest chances and are clearly the best defensively. Do not underestimate this - it will be decisive in crunch time. Our attack has a lot of potential and we’re still figuring things out. Lack of trust stems from 20 years.
Terrible loss, but that’s all it is. Just an awful night in both boxes. It happens. People will want you to lose your mind over one game. We’re 2 points off top spot heading into 2024 with Partey, Timber and Tomiyasu to return. This time we’re primed to peak at the business end.
