Bowness says he has some health issues he has to 'get fixed,' adding that his wife Judy's health scare this season was a life-changing moment.

He says he and Judy have been together since they were 16-years-old, and she's been with him throughout the entire NHL ride.

Rick Bowness said he told the other coaches on the #NHLJets staff about an hour after Game 5 that he was retiring.

'I'm disappointed I didn't take this team further.'

He called the team's captains to inform them.

'I've been at it 5 decades, 2,700+ games, there's no second thoughts.'
