This National Pet Day, we are sharing ‘Percy’, our neighbour's peacock, who has adopted YMS as his 2nd home! He has been enjoying the tranquil grounds whilst our pupils have been on Easter break. They will be thrilled to see him when they return to school!

Our pupils recently worked on a collaborative sculpture project in their Art lessons, crafting figures inspired by renowned sculptors, depicting musicians, musical instruments & daily life. It represents how music serves as a universal language, unifying us all🌎

Our C1s (Year 7) have been making their own board games in History this term & invited some of our older pupils to come and play them! Their memory was tested, as they had to recall some challenging historical facts!

As part of a maths art project last term, some of our C2 (Year 8) pupils took part in making hyperbolic paraboloids! Our C1s (Year 7) also joined in the fun, making some curve stitching pictures, & a Celtic knot made by pupil, Kiki in C3 (Year 9).

Before the Easter break, our pupils took part in our annual easter egg hunt. The weather was not in our favour, but they still got involved & found every bit of chocolate in sight!

Ensuring our pupils experience extracurricular activities is important at YMS, & baking is always popular! Our C3s (Year 9) recently baked ‘Liebesbriefe’ meaning ‘Love letters’ for our Valentine's cake sale in February, & our B1s (Year 10) made cinnamon rolls for Easter!
