I've heard the sad news of Ian Mellor's death. He was a lovely man & gave his time freely. I met him a few times over the years and I've re-posted an interview I did with him back in 2003 as a tribute: gjfootballarchive.com/2024/05/01/ian…​My thoughts are with his family and close friends.

So sorry to hear the sad news of the passing of former City player Ian Mellor.

A Manchester lad who grew up a blue and played for the club between 1967-73.

Ian was a lovely man who I had the honour of listening to his City memories via a Tales of Blue back in 2022.
