Back in the era of regional line cuts and closures, I wonder if local stationmasters ever conspired with local gunzels and seniors groups to fill a train when it was known the minister was visiting?

This is why I've said we should progressively upgrade parallel routes like the 733 to every 5-10 min 7 days. That would give a decade of benefit before the SRL opens & encourage supportive personal and even business decisions to ensure SRL success.

Article paywalled but mentions better buses for High St. Currently most routes are every 30-60 min weekdays & hourly weekends with poor directness. A simplified network could put town centre on two more frequent routes. More: melbourneontransit.blogspot.com/2020/05/buildi… Steve McGhie MP

As one does on a quiet Monday night, one studies the sitting calendar. Seems to be 5 rules that determine sitting weeks:
* Tu/Wed/Th only
* Alternate weeks
* Never school hols
* Never weeks there's a public holiday
* Never coldest weeks (hence time for o/s study trips)
