It makes me sad that I think academics want to make sure they appear 'rigorous' more than they want to appear 'kind', regardless of which of these values they genuinely embody and hold dearest.

I don't know about you, but I was really impressed that one of my students tied Chimamanda Ngozi Adeche's 'danger of a single story' with our discussions around AI, and talked about 'AI's single story' that many people hold (about how gr8it is, when in reality it is more complex)
