For both the Dow and the S&P 500, you have average dividend yield of around 2% and a shareholder yield* of around 4%.

Top decile shareholder yield gets you over 8%.

For Rus2k, it's different. The dividend yield is a little lower but the average stock is an issuer resulting in…

Lots of fun history in the US Steel acquisition news (disclosure we own it)...

Yo, I love you Visual Capitalist, but you're using incorrect Ramsey math here.

Over this period the S&P 500 returned 9.7% per year.

The *average yearly return* was 11.5%.

Not the same thing....and if you invested $1k, and expected 11.5%, you would wonder where the extra $20m went!

After one robo removed value from their portfolios last year, we now have the other one announcing they are reducing their exposure to it (and emerging markets too).

A fantastic report from Morningstar, Inc. on dividend funds. Except they left out shareholder yield, which is ok.

Out of the 286 funds with a 5 year track, wonder how many got beat by shareholder yield?

You know my guess...
