But, i can't help but chuckle seeing a reference to an average institution, 'universities like Harvard'

Every writer ends up reusing some phrases, either because of bad luck or because they're standard technical terms.

I wish we'd stop ignoring this point. Legal immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than native-born Americans, and undocumented immigrants, already living marginal and uncertain lives, are even less likely. Panic over 'immigrant crime' is demagoguery - the numbers are clear.
