I saw USC decided to cancel their valedictorians speech because she was sympathetic to Palestinians. If they cancelled a Jewish student’s speech for being sympathetic to Israelis, I’m pretty sure Congress would pass a resolution authorizing a missile strike on their university.

This is a minor point, but here’s what an actual “heckler’s veto” looks like—preemptively shutting down speech because of “unnamed safety concerns”. It makes it very easy for hate campaigns to silence people
