Could not be more thrilled for the The Watermill Theatre that its excellent production of The Lord of the Rings has found a US home at Chicago’s Shakespeare Theater, where it runs from July. Was undoubtedly one of my 2023 theatre highlights!

Theatre bosses including Matthew Xia (@excalibah) and @sarahbrigham have defended the use of trigger warnings for shows, claiming telling people who rely on them to avoid seeing productions is 'discriminatory and concerning'.

Think my partner & I enjoyed the dressing up box a little too much at last night’s Mamma Mia! celebrations. Though I think he should keep the wig, don’t you?!

I had such a fun evening celebrating with the team at Mamma Mia! last night. I’ve seen this musical multiple times and I love it more each time. Superbly crafted, brilliantly directed with a knockout performance from Mazz Murray ☠️. All hail Judy Craymer for her vision!
