It was an honor telling Black stories through the MAKING podcast.
This is a major loss for the city of Chicago. My heart breaks for my hardworking WBEZ and Vocalo colleagues who have lost their jobs. Their impact can’t be discarded. I hope management reconsiders.

Losing Vocalo is just…shit’s looking real bleak out here.

How is a public radio station supposed to grow in 2024 — how will it reach new audiences?! — without a podcast unit??? This is an insane and short-sighted move.
