The all of a sudden aren’t getting power play production, and Carolina has slowed the Artemi Panarin line.

All of a sudden, the Rangers’ winning formula is getting tested. nytimes.com/athletic/54915…

Adversity has finally found the New York Rangers.

Can they now find their game again?

My column from New York:

Trouba: 'I thought we let it come to us a little bit instead of taking the game to them. Definitely something to learn on. I don’t think we thought this was going to be a cakewalk. Lost two, face a little adversity. We’ll see what we’re made of going down to Carolina for Game 6.'

GOAL: Empty-netter for the Canes and it's 4-1. Game 6 isn't until Thursday, so lots of time to stew on this one.

The boos from some of the fans here feel like a bit much. I get being frustrated and concerned, but, jeez...

I'm goin' back to Raleigh, Raleigh, Raleigh...

I'm goin' back to Raleigh...

Yeah, I think so.

Rangers get absolutely nothing on that power play. 7:25 to go in the third, 3-1 Canes.

Chatfield with a pretty blatant hook/hold on Panarin right in front of the referee, but no call. The Garden is displeased.

It's 1-0 Rangers through two. New York is 20 minutes from the Eastern Conference final, but the Hurricanes will have 1:51 of power-play time to open the third. Butts, hold on to them, etc.

It appears Brady Skjei's PPG in Game 4 did not magically cure the Hurricanes' power-play ills. The floodgates have not, in fact, opened.

Jack Drury blocks consecutive shots and he's hurting.

And now the Canes head to the power play. Roslovic for tripping.
