This round of layoffs in particular it feels clear that this isn't about a recession or profit or even worker quality. It's about fear induction. Lay off a bunch of people, and you grab a bit of power back out of the fear among the remaining. It is easier to exploit them.

I hope I hear from U by Kotex today. It’s messed up for a major corporation to lift and paraphrase content without paying the original creator. Their video has 430k+ likes and more views. No credit, nothing.

Still no response. U by Kotex has been replying to other people on instagram so I know they’ve seen my comments and yet their ad remains up. A major tampon company stealing from female creators and barely rephrasing our content without credit or payment is despicable
