Our latest display highlights the donated works of Jeremy Cameron (1947 - 2023) who studied history at Magdalen, going on to become a probation officer and author. In 2020 Cameron converted his home garage into a library to house his vast collection of books.

Much of Wyatt’s work in the chapel is no longer visible, following a later programme of restoration by Lewis Cottingham in the 1830s, so we're fortunate to have this visual record. Happy 550th Magdalen College Chapel Oxford 🎈🎂🥳2/2

Today is the 550th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone of Magdalen College Chapel Oxford. Here we have drawings by G. Cooper showing the chapel interior as it was in 1817, following James Wyatt’s restoration work in the 1790s. 1/2
