1. I was an inveterate margin-scribbler as a kid, starting around the age of 5 according to my mom; I got out of it for a really long time but picked up a cheap drawing tablet in my late teens and resolved to actually learn how to use it; I started doing commissions at around 20!

2. I have several reasons, but the two foremost ones are that I find it relaxing to do so, as I think more clearly when my hands are busy, but more than that, drawing art for other people helps me understand them a little better in ways just talking can't.

3. My favorite art style has always been the kind of work done for console games from the 90's; there was this period in that specific medium where you had anime aesthetics being filtered through much more playful, toonier styles and I've always hewed to that look in my own work.

4a. Lord, this question's gonna take a while and I'm gonna have to tag several people to do it; in the meantime, a few nonfurry artists I admire the work of include Naoto Oshima, Katsuhiro Otomo, Bob Rafei, Seb McKinnon, and Johannes Vos.

4b. This is by no means a comprehensive list, as there's a huge number of contemporaries I share artistic space with who have grown incredibly skilled in a short time, including folks like Mabo, Neon Leopard, 落書きKite (🎂 5/24), Stain, or Cwova Beaw 🧸!
