On 26/04/2024, the IET/Street Duties, RGB trading standards, and the Met drones team conducted a warrant to seize illegal tobacco products. A male threw tobacco products from a neighboring flat's window worth an estimated £15-35K. #tobacco

In Woolwich yesterday officers arrested five people which included a registered sex offender who breached his conditions and a man wanted for domestic assault.

Officers answered a call to 2 youths being detained by members of the public having stolen a moped. A search was conducted at the suspects home and a further 6 mopeds were found in the garden and one in the hallway. One stolen two hours earlier and returned to the owner.

We'll be using Live Facial Recognition technology at key locations in #Woolwich on 25 Apr.

This technology helps keep Londoners safe, and will be used to find people who threaten or cause harm, those who are wanted, or have outstanding arrest warrants issued by the court.

Due to local knowledge an officer from Eltham Page Safer Neighbourhood Team was able to identify a suspect on CCTV committing a robbery. The male pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 6 years and 4 months for possession of a firearm with intent to commit a schedule one offence.

Live Facial Recognition technology deployed in Woolwich assisted in the arrest of seven people.

This included a man wanted for two counts of possessing a firearm (CS Spray).

Officers also arrested a man wanted on a recall to prison for burglary and a man wanted for theft.
