It’s OK to lie and spread conspiracy theories in elite political culture if done for impeccably progressive reasons

8.38pm on Carnaby Street in London. Neighbouring streets are as quiet. This is central London under on a Thursday. The only way to change it is to get a mayor that cares about nightlife.

Hmm... I read what Sadiq has said about shared owners over the last 4 years. Look at his answers to mayoral questions on the topic. He is not a friend.

✅ Fortunately, we've had much needed scrutiny in the London Assembly. I hope it continues.

Really difficult post PMQs briefing for Labour, which laid bare how much work the party has to do on immigration. Asked if Labour would ditch Rwanda legislation the answer appears to be no. But asked what happens to the tens of thousands who arrived in UK illegally answer unclear

“Voters look to their mayor not just to govern London, but to advance their interests at a national level, too. There are 1.4 million leasehold households in the capital and many more aspiring first-time buyers.” insidehousing.co.uk/news/khan-reit…

Hmm.. It appears that the Mayoral candidates supported by each of Britain’s two largest political parties are equally willing to walk away from earlier promises made to advance the legal rights of leaseholders. Not a good look. ⁦Free Leaseholders⁩ standard.co.uk/news/politics/…

Hang on a second, we are equally critical of Susan Hall AM who has COMPLETELY ignored the 1.4 million London leasehold households.

Free Leaseholders does not endorse any candidate or party.

I wouldn’t call it NIMBYism because I don’t think it’s a character trait or decision, but I totally agree with this: solving the UK’s spatial issues would lead it to overtake Europe’s GDP/capita by 10-20% and even converge with the USA.

Peer Lord Bailey Shaun Bailey spells out some of the many - perfectly legal - ways that Freeholders can extract cash from hapless leaseholders and makes a plea for reform of current law. The existing proposals are too limited and modest to be effective. Free Leaseholders

They called you a ‘bigot’ if you questioned whether women had a penis.

Then, a ‘flat-earther’ if you want to stop ULEZ.

Now you’re a ‘racist’ if you vote for Susan Hall.

Welcome to a society run by Labour. They’ll shame you until you do as you’re told.

.Shaun Bailey knows what it’s like to be a leaseholder, a financial hostage in one’s own home.

But he managed to take back control with Right to Manage.

Refreshing to have an authentic Conservatives politician in the Lords standing up for the Serfs.

MAKING THE PROPERTY-OWNING DEMOCRACY REAL

Shaun Bailey has been the Tory terminator in the Lords.

He has been relentless in his drive to beef up the Bill.

Ultimately, he will not stop until leasehold is terminated.
