Weather great this morning so set up the radio for a bit of #winlink on HF from the car. Will check for replies later :-)

Finally got round to checking winlink email on HF no 5G and too far from my WiFi here so it counts as somewhere from where email has never been sent before :-) Using Microsoft surface pro 7, @icom_uk #ic705 @m1eccantennas slidewinder coil with a buddipole whip this time.

Set up the icom_uk #ic705 and Sherman x50 antenna to provide comms for Exmoor Rotary Club Exmoor Challenge walk along with Exmoor Radio Club really nice day with great weather for a change :-)

Portable VHF kit packed, ID52, headset, spare battery, fast charger and notebook. Getting ready for a day providing comms for the annual Exmoor Challenge. Seen here with my ecoflow power supply which will be used to power the charger and, of course, coffee machine :-)

Free range beans served with breakfast in Lynmouth at the National Park centre. A refreshing change from the caged beans that have to be kept separate from the other food elsewhere! :-)

A world first! I am pretty sure no one has ever sent an email from here. I sent a couple on #winlink 40m using #ic705 with 5w and the M1ECC-Antennas #slidewinder coil and multi section whip.

My job is making unreasonable demands on my time as usual, so decided to go for a drive and see the sunrise. But the fog had other ideas :-)

A bit early for check in but not risking spending another night here. Hotels are great but expensive :-)

Last morning in Guernsey, we had to move hotel for the extra night. The bean quarantine arrangements here differ slightly but are still just as ineffective.

Definitely the roughest day we’ve seen so far and very windy, so were pleased we got an extra day here rather than on the ferry for this :-)

Drama. Ferry home tomorrow is cancelled. Forced to spend an extra day on holiday! :-)

Used the antenna on the car with my HT today and finally got heard and plotted on APRS.fi heard a 2E station calling CQ but we were going into the museum and was not able to answer.
