Lyme Regis lifeboat crew Seb Cope & his fiancee are expecting a baby in August. They held an American-style gender reveal event with a difference. While aboard the lifeboat his fiancee Abbie Cook was on the north wall watching with crowds as blue flares signalled Its a boy! 🥳

A scroll containing the RNLI pledge is due to arrive in #LymeRegis at 11:30 on April 25th as part of the RNLI’s 200th anniversary. Over 7 months the five-metre-long scroll will pass through 240 RNLI locations before finishing its journey in October at Douglas on the Isle of Man

College security officer Neil Carter set off from #LymeRegis on the 4th May to walk 30 miles to the Weymouth Lifeboat shop in Weymouth. Neil, 47, from Bridport,  raised more than £1,000 on the sponsored hike between the two RNLI shops. Neil expected the walk to take 12 hours

The Lyme Regis RNLI crew had an unusual task last evening (5 May) when they launched to investigate a navigation buoy drifting along the coast between Lyme Regis & Charmouth. Once on scene the crew identified the buoy as a starboard mark that belonged to Exmouth Port Authority.

Crew w/ Beer Coastguard, #Rescue187, Lyme Regis Coastguard & Exmouth Lifeboat searched for a swimmer seen entering rough sea #LymeRegis. After searching the surf line the Atlantic 85 launched to search offshore. Exmouth RNLI & Coastguard heli joined. It is believed this was a false alarm

Crew launched last night (3rd) to a couple reported to be in difficulty between Charmouth & Golden Cap. Two crew swam ashore assessed the couple & provided cas care. The 46 yo male was cold, exhausted & taken to paramedics. Crew returned to collect the female casualty & 2 dogs

Lyme Regis RNLI welcomed a new face to the lifeboat station this week when Dave Knott (65) was appointed to join the station’s team of Launching Authorities. Mr Knott, a retired businessman & yacht owner moved to Lyme Regis from Reading in 2021 with partner Maia.
