To mark this special occasion we wanted to share the St John family tea pot.
The pot is inscribed on the side with the St John family crest, made by prestigious silversmiths Edward Barnard and Sons, in about 1857.

‘SHOUTING softly Swindon’, is a female empowerment project for young women living in Swindon, aged 14-25. The project use female stories to perform a play at various venues across Swindon, including Lydiard House.

On this day two months ago, the restored Rose Bowl was presented back to Lydiard House Museum. It's fantastic to have it back in pride of place after the brilliant restoration by Deacons of Swindon.

'Lest We Forget' is a reflective exploration of Black history, telling individual stories of servicemen from the Caribbean & America during the World Wars. Part of a larger project developed by Wiltshire Museum with funding from the AIM & The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
