It has been such a wonderful experience collaborating with UCL on this project!

A personal highlight of using the bike was speaking to people at Black Pride who told me about the event’s history, and its importance for LGBTQIA+ people seeking sanctuary in the U.K.

There are so many stories in East London and I’m so excited that I have been able to create a wonderful project touching on just some of East London’s heritage, creating Newham Archive’s biggest ever oral history collection, & strong, new connections to spark future projects ✨
