Louisville shined today at @valhallagolf during the @pgachampionship! Thanks to all of the volunteers and the PGA team who are extending such great hospitality. Our city has a history of coming together and showing strength during challenging times, just as we have this week.

I was proud to join Amped this morning to break ground on the new Russell Station Tech and Learning Center! For over a decade AMPED has been empowering our community and today marked a new, exciting chapter for this essential organization that is transforming our city.

What an amazing Day One of the @pgachampionship! Our city shined again. Thank you Jimmy Kirchdorfer and the rest of the local @valhallagolf partners who made this possible.

Through collaboration with Metro Council and LMPD, today we announced an $100,000 technology drone pilot program that will help police crackdown on dangerous street racing and more. Thanks to everyone who came together to make this possible.

Huge thanks to PGA REACH and ValhallaGolf for their gift of $500,000 to benefit @loukypark’s Seneca Golf Course. Through their PGA Places to Pay program, these funds will go towards renovating the Par 3 course, updating practice areas and a permanent facility.

This week’s Louisvillian Doing Good is Dr. Deb Kozik, a surgeon at Norton Children's where she oversees 150+ different types of surgeries – including heart transplants. This is an extraordinarily difficult job, and as of February, Dr. Kozik has seen through 130 transplants.

Major events require major preparations and LMPD, Louisville Metro Emergency Services and other city leaders always deliver. Today, these leaders joined us to share traffic and safety plans ahead of the PGA Championship.
