Good job my Norman Jay ticket, with my name on it, was also still in one pocket.

A lovely Glasgow night. Usually, when the Uni makes you a professor, they ask for a speech; my mate David said he wanted to play a gig.

Glasgow Boy artist Henry was born in Irvine, but lived/worked in the Calton until his mid-forties, before setting off to find even greater fame in London.

The cool, dappled light in this is just delicious.

As usual, grateful, surprised, and delighted that this appears to have sold out.

Can't wait to speak in one of, surely, a Mackintosh room where you wish the walls could talk, the back gallery at Glasgow Art Club.

When English opium eater Thomas de Quincey came to Glasgow to avoid his creditors, he set up home on Renfield Street.

He also, for a while, lived in a tenement at Dean Place, in the Rottenrow.

Although its beauty is fleeting, the arrival of Glasgow's Cherry blossom is an annual delight, and a pink, scented, reminder that warmer weather is on its way.

It's 'Muirhead Monday' again, and this week finds Mr Bone back in St Vincent Street - named after one of the opening sea battles of the Anglo-Spanish War (1796–1808).

We're looking west from the junction with Blythswood Street.
