🐝 It’s a species of principal importance for conserving biodiversity and one of six bumblebee species considered to be most threatened or in greatest decline in the country.

15 lovers of clean rivers from LAGER Can & CURB - CleanUptheRiverBrent #CURB filled 40 heavy bags and dug up some large items from the #RiverBrent at Pitshanger this fine morning. A real pleasure to be joined by founder of the #EalingGreenwayers and river-cleaning royalty Richard Spencer-Smith.

The River Quaggy Boardwalk is surrounded by abundant growth at this time. I love it! The sounds of the many birds, the river gurgling as it finds its way, the scent of new life, its beautiful :) Well worth a visit as so many miss its beauty. Thames21 Kidbrooke Village London National Park City*

A fantastic turnout of volunteers today to clear the rubbish off local streets & the adjoining metropolitan open land leading to Osterley Park. 🌎

We trained more volunteers at Q.E. Olympic Park to monitor butterflies on 3 transects. We saw 5 species including Brimstone, Holly Blue, Speckled Wood and this beautiful Painted Lady. Regular transect walks help monitor long term abundance trends. 👉ukbms.org
