#watertowerWednesday Built to pump water from the Chicago River in 1869, it survived the great fire which destroyed the city in 1871. But ironically the tower's wooden roof burned, collapsed into the tower & caused the pumping machinery to fail & it could not be used to firefight

#waterfallWednesday - Gibbon Falls on the Gibbon River drops 84 feet. It once fell over the rim of the Yellowstone volcanic crater but over hundreds of thousands of years it has errored throught the rocks (Lava Creek tuff) & is now about 1/4 from he caldera rim.
