But now I’m on a mailing list for a 501c(4) org funded by GOP dollars, urging me to support tough-on-crime conservative candidates in the city!

TogetherSF In addition to the invite, the FIRST EMAIL I receive is from TogetherSF Action a 501c(4) org with close ties to Mark Farrell’s mayoral campaign.

TogetherSFAction urges me join Joel Engardio’s Politics 101 event & says it “arms residents with tools to elect results oriented leaders”.

TogetherSF The event form tells me I may receive updates from “TogetherSF organizations”.

Hmm, okay. Seems innocuous right?

It takes me to a TogetherSF event page!

TogetherSF is a 501c(3) non-profit. Hmm, so far so good. Next, I fill in my details to sign up.

I went on Manny Yekutiel’s (Manny’s!) Civic Joy Fund website to check out events in SF.

I stumbled upon a “clean up the city” project on the website’s homepage.

That’s a nice & fun activity for my family! I want to sign up. But wait
