Four more years of the divisive and hate-filled Sadiq Khan.
London will continue its rapid decline.
Many folk, including me, won’t be here by the next election.
Why stay for no go zones, exploding crime, anarchists running riot on the streets, a war on cars and dying nightlight.

Many voters stayed at home, underwhelmed by what the parties offered. Councils matter. Too many tax us too much. They damage shopping centres with aggressive anti driver policies. They fail to do the basics of rubbish collection and roads well.

BathComms B&NES Council Thank you - I’ll set up a starting point and charge £5 a head for walking tours. I’m thinking of finding a local orchestra to help me develop a summer suite of evening ‘son et lumière’ events involving the moving bollards too!

I wonder if B&NES Council will organise official tours of the bollards for summer visitors to the City. It could be an extra source of income for a Council that’s desperate for cash?

SUPER SATURDAY. Is today when Sadiq Khan is finally toppled in London? Are the whispers, the rumours, the sources correct that the Labour man has been run to the wire by Susan Hall? Is this the day England reclaims its capital city from Net Zero chief zealot mayor Khan? Let’s see

Wokingham Lib Dems sent out enough leaflets to remind voters not to give them a majority on the Council. Their higher car park charges, higher taxes, closed and narrowed roads, more potholes, a worse refuse service and wasteful spending are not popular.

A regular theme highlighted on Clarkson’s Farm is that so many local authorities hammer businesses in unnecessary red tape. This petty bureaucracy restricts the enterprise freedom of so many local businesses at a time where they need support not punishment.

On May 4, 1904, the United States began construction of the Panama Canal. Today also marks 419 days since Cllr Sarah Warren said she wanted a healthy debate on LTNs and how we get around in Bath. Keep digging.

This is quite an eye-popping statement from the Liberal Democrats in response to the Cass review...which might explain why they've now deleted it. archive.ph/2024.04.16-135…

My last post of the day...

I've taken the results of some council by elections in London that have been counted already.

I benchmark this against the result of the 2021 London mayoral election in those same wards and look at the change.

In short, there is a swing to CON.

Labour's partial collapse in Oxford demands national media attention. Where indies stood against Labour, Labour vote fell, and Labour lost several seats to the indies.

Time to sack Susan Brown as leader, Luke Akehurst ?
