Bond 2023 included funds for a new Science Materials Ctr and a SPED 18+ Transition Services building. During consent, Trustees approved the first Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contract, allowing for the release of Bond funds. Construction is projected to start later this year.

The #LISDBoard considered & approved a recommendation from the district's Bond Oversight Committee, reallocating funds to pay for
🛜 technology upgrades to coincide at campuses under modernization.
🛞service vehicles for Transportation.

their work this year, plus their hopes & dreams for this group moving forward.

The #SpotlightOnLearning at the #LISDBoard mtg showcased a partnership between Akin Elementary 5th-graders in FreshInc and Vista Ridge H.S. students in INCubatorEDU. This win-win has Akin students showing off their creativity while learning from HS students.

Today and tomorrow, #1LISD seniors are making their way back to their elementary school campuses to high-five students and hug their elementary teachers.

Chief Minton went to Glenn High School today to present Richard Hawkins, a 12-grade student, with a Chief's Coin and a certificate for providing aid to a seriously injured passenger after a recent traffic collision. Well deserved!

🏗️ The Bond Oversight Committee (BOC) toured Hisle ES, #1LISD 's 30th elementary school.

This committee proposes any changes of a voter-approved bond program to the Board, including how to reallocate bond project savings.
