What a fascinating rollercoaster of a read! Innovation, GTM, tradeoffs, IP, capitalism, regulation, market forces, and many tough ethics conundrums.

🚨 JS devs, I need your help!

My MEng student and I are working on an open-source library that handles JS hierarchical data of (almost) any type. You just set a few properties to describe your tree structure (how to get to children, what is a node, etc.) and you get a host of…

I keep reading this thread hoping for some happy ending in the long tail of tweets but nope.

I can't believe people like that have the privilege of having their mom alive with them during their forties and waste it by being judgmental for how she expresses herself. I wish my mom…

In a bit over an hour, we hit the funding goal. And we've since hit our first stretch goal at $50k and doubled the funding goal.

I started collecting my web standards contributions since 2011 on a page, with detailed timelines from proposal to spec to shipping in browsers etc.

I understand why npm had to disallow package names too similar to other package names, really.

But as a package publisher, I now have no way to tell if a name is free. In the past visiting the package URL worked to tell name availability. Now it’s a total crapshoot.

There…
