A huge well done 👏 to the 37 Year 7s who played rugby at Quorn this morning. A special shout out to the mighty Tigers 🐅 who came roaring back from 4-0 down to win 6-4!! Top work boys!!

Advance notice: it is our charity OWN CLOTHES DAY on Friday this week!! There is no need for the boys to pay because you have already made a charity donation via the school fees. I will remind you on Thursday evening!!

In other news …. It is our WHOLE SCHOOL PHOTO on Wednesday morning this week, an event that happens every four years! The boys must be in full school uniform and looking smart please!!

Please note this week’s Year 7 rugby matches are on Friday afternoon at Quorn. The boys will be brought back to school in time for their buses at 4pm. There is no Year 7 fixture on Saturday this week.

Great to see that Year 7 lunchtime cricket is competitive and loud this year, we should have a strong team next summer!!

An absolute festival of rugby for Year 7 at Quorn this afternoon. 46 boys wore their LGS shirts with pride and played some brilliant rugby. Well done to the Lions for recording their first victory, and the Tigers snatched victory from the jaws of defeat!! Great fun!!

Because of the Sherwood Pines trips there will be NO RUGBY TRAINING after school on Tuesday. Back to normal next week.

Our wonderful Voluntary Service Unit is preparing Christmas hampers as usual. Please can Year 7 boys donate cereal, long life milk and rice. The boys can bring these donations into school by Tuesday 15 October please.

After a day of energetic activity at Sherwood Pines it was an absolute joy to spend an hour listening to our wonderfully talented Year 7 Music Scholars this evening. Thank you boys for showcasing your amazing talent, I enjoyed every moment of the concert.
