Today our school had some anti-abortion protesters, and we went outside to introduce ourselves and requested that they turned the sign to face the street so that our students were not triggered by the graphic images on them. They decided to double down and bring more signs.

These people are not from our school community and didn’t care that buses with many special education k-12 students were viewing the signs without understanding the context. Let’s just say they were really disappointed when we dismissed the school out the back door instead 🤣

They were holding handheld video cameras & GoPro strapped to them as body cams, and we’re trying to antagonize the handful of students. Our wonderful social work team, TPS and staff interrupted the convos. We reminded our students they don’t need to stop & talk to strangers.

Since they felt it was OK to film minors from the public sidewalk, make disrespectful comments and harass our staff…attached are their photos. TPS from 31 div did an amazing job supporting our community! Thank you!
