Bryan Woo from Oakland, Ca on A’s relocation from his high heat segment.

If only he could say what he really wanted. Kid grew up at the Coliseum and knows the exact reason for fans choosing to not support Fisher’s Athletics.

Takeaways:
-I met one of Fisher’s lobbyists & a county official: they think it opens by 2029 worst case
-Developers/Financiers are skeptical this ever happens… more skeptical it opens by 2028
-No one thinks this comes in at $1.5B when all said & done…expect more negotiations

With AASEG finalizing their purchase of the City’s half, it should expedite a deal with the A’s, who just made their final payment for Alameda County’s half last week.

Back in 2019, AlCo agreed to sell their half to the A’s for $85M. It’s worth more now.

Hearing Oakland / AASEG have negotiated a $105M+ purchase agreement for the City’s half of the Coliseum property.

‼️ That’s a massive/timely boost for Oakland’s budget.

👀 Sources tell me AASEG and the A’s also have a term sheet/price negotiated for the other half of the land.

Hey Dave Kaval, is this what you meant when you said the team was looking forward to making “new” memories in this final season?

So it’s bark in the park night at the coliseum. In the dog section, there is not a single food stand open, and the fuckin WATER FOUNTAINS have been turned off. Yes…..the water fountains are turned off.

Rockies broadcast touched briefly on the relocation.

They feel for the fans and all the employees that will lose their jobs.
