Belle Chasse Elementary School's Holly Eiswirth is a Principal of the Year semifinalist. Mrs. Eiswirth motivates her students and staff to strive for excellence and to continuously strive to achieve greatness. She takes pride in being a school leader in her own hometown.

Bayou Woods Elementary's Carra 'Beth' Melton is a Teacher of the Year semifinalist. Mrs. Melton strives to create personal connections and relationships with each student. She achieves this by having lunch with them, and mailing letters to each student during the summer.

Garyville Mt. Airy Math and Science Magnet's Kara Lawson is a Louisiana Principal of the Year semifinalist. Dr. Lawson has worked for 25 years in Louisiana's public education system, and has hosted professional learning workshops for educator development in multiple parishes.

D.C. Reeves Elementary's Jill Williams is a Teacher of the Year semifinalist. Mrs. Williams believes that students need to feel confident in order to learn and gives them multiple opportunities to reach goals by working with their peers in small groups or by partner sharing.

Julia B. Maitland School's Rebecca Nguyen is a Teacher of the Year semifinalist. Mrs. Nguyen believes that a collaborative approach to learning is important. It is important to create an environment where students can interact and learn from one another.

University View Academy's Raven Cole is a Teacher of the Year semifinalist. Mrs. Cole has been rated a highly effective educator for six years. All students leave her classroom with a digital portfolio to showcase their creativity and career readiness.

Natchitoches Central High's Micah Coleman is a Principal of the Year semifinalist. Mr. Coleman led NCHS to an historic school rating of an 'A' for the first time in parish history, and has also been named a Top Gains school in the top ten for growth for the last two years.

Anne 'Beth' Jones is a Principal of the Year semifinalist. She believes in promoting positive relationships to encourage students and faculty to explore new and innovative concepts that contribute to overall development.
