Yesterday evening in the Dáil, this Bill, introduced by Ivana Bacik on behalf of LGBT Ireland and Equality for Children moved to second stage.

The Bill sought to address some of the issues with the original Act like:

We were delighted to be LGBT Ireland Launch of the Shadow Report of the #LGBTI + Inclusion Strategy.

Our Shadow Report calls for a new National #LGBTI + Inclusion Strategy - one that will run from 2024 to 2029. The new strategy needs to take a whole life approach and actions should be specific, concrete, measurable & achievable.

Our Policy manager Padraig Rice explains why we graded the Govts progress as a C+.

A lot of progress has been made but a renewed effort is now required to fulfil the outstanding actions and to address new challenges.

Ageist behaviours and attitudes have no place in today's Ireland. We are proud to see our LGBT Champions Damian taking part in the @‌_IHREC #EndAgeism campaign to ensure that older LGBTQI+ people are visible and safe in our society.
