The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan joined us today to visit Edmonton Community Partnership - a project we fund to deliver after-school interventions and opportunities.
Sadiq Khan heard from young people and the community about the ongoing work to tackle violence following the murder of a 16-year-old in Edmonton.
.Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan Sadiq Khan set us up and provides record funding as part of what is known as a 'public health approach' - a strategy to tackle knife crime and violence through prevention and early intervention.
We firmly believe violence is preventable, not inevitable.
We are grateful for the grant from London's Violence Reduction Unit
to address youth violence in Hackney. Our early intervention and prevention strategy is working, but we need to do more
