#OTD : Fifty-six years ago today, #LBJ signed the #CivilRightsAct of 1968, more commonly known as the #FairHousingAct . The law was intended as a follow-up to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 & was designed to provide equal housing opportunities for all.

#OnThisDay : Fifty-nine years ago today, #PresidentJohnson signed the Elementary and Secondary Act at the former Junction Elementary School near Stonewall, Texas. Seated to his right is his first school teacher, Kathryn Deadrich Loney.

In 2017, we hosted an exhibit titled 'Deep in the Vaults of Texas'. On display was #CarlJackson 's caddy uniform from #TheMasters . Now retired, Jackson holds the record for most appearances as a caddy at the Masters.
