At this time, four recruits from Sheriff’s Academy Class # 464 still remain in critical condition and the rest have been released from the hospital. Alejandro Martinez, has suffered setbacks that have left him in grave condition. Please keep him and his family in your prayers

Long time Cerritos resident, Lily Kuo, unexpectedly passed away last night due to injuries sustained from an auto accident.  Lily was very involved in the Cerritos and Artesia community.
 
Lily Kuo was a dear friend and her presence will be missed.

Today, LA County Sheriffs family remembers Deputy Michael L. Hoenig who was murdered by gunfire on 10/30/97. While Deputy Hoenig was out on patrol and attempted to detain a bicyclist, the suspect shot & killed him. He will live in our hearts & never be forgotten.
