यत्र यत्र रघुनाथकीर्त्तनं तत्र तत्र कृत मस्तकाञ्जलिम्।
वाष्पवारिपरिपूर्णलोचनं मारुतिं नमत राक्षसान्तकम्॥

Wherever Raghunātha's Name is sung, He is ever present there with folded Hands upon His Head and tearful eyes; we bow down to that Son of Vāyu and slayer of demons.🙏🏽

Atheists who are born as Hindus but don't actively practice the religion are no different from millions of Christians who don't participate in any religious activity. They also celebrate their festivals in the same way as you do. Such an approach is vacuous for many reasons.

asymmetric_power He is neither a newcomer nor a latecomer. He never joined as far as I can tell. Keeping low entry barriers is itself a danger that this side of twitter is clueless about despite several hard lessons.

That's never been the question before you bringing it. It doesn't require 'aukat' to call something bad as bad.

Humans are a social animal so criticism from fellows and peers does make an impact. This type of wisecrack are always invoked to suggest:Stop the verbal criticism too.

In a tangential way, a beautiful verse comes to mind:

या त्वरा द्रौपदीत्राणे या त्वरा गजमोक्षणे।
मय्यार्त्ते करुणामूर्त्ते सा त्वरा क्व गता हरे॥

'The swiftness You have shown in rescuing Draupadi or Gajendra, O Merciful Hari! Where has that swiftness gone in my case?'

Commendable but only if she had shown a tenth or twentith of this much pedantry with Gita 18.67 'इदं ये नातपस्काय नाभक्ताय कदाचन' before going to 'Carvaka Podcast' to discuss Gita!

Or Gita 16th chapter 8-16th Sholkas for that matter.

Hindus do not have enough śraddhā in their Devas and that's why they take such psychologically comforting moral highground. There is nothing moral or virutous in listening to your God getting abused. This is like a bullock showing off that it is practicing celebacy.

'After hearing one abusing the Lord, one should block his ears and run away if unable to punish. If he has the strength, then he must cutout his tongue. Even giving his own life to prevent this sin from happening is virtuous. That is Dharma.' +
