@BBCSangita My previous research with black and ethnic minority professionals (e.g. BME teachers, Black young men in tech and construction industry) also highlights how difficult (and onerous on the victim) it is to *prove*. And racist banter is often dismissed by managers as 'light humour'

Even if they brought it up in the same 10 secs in which the incident occurred, those same disbelievers are still unlikely to believe it without cast-iron evidence.
