Judge Three: Sourit Bhattacharya is lecturer in Global Anglophone literatures at The University of Edinburgh . His research and teaching interests include colonial and postcolonial studies, minority ethnic literatures, environmental humanities +translation and cross-cultural studies.

Judge Two: Amina Shah, FRSE is the National Librarian and Chief Executive of the National Library of Scotland. She has more than 25 years of experience across the cultural sector in Scotland, spanning the public sector, third-sector charities and higher education.

Judge one: Iphgenia Baal, a writer of fiction whose work has described as a 'marrying of politics and ass' and she has been compared to writers including James Joyce, Dodie Bellamy and Manuel Puig. Her most recent book, Man Hating Psycho was shortlisted for the Edge Hill Prize..
